Our waterproof shallow pocket mattress pad and protector is built for the beds that standard bedding was never cut for: boat berths, RV bunks, dorm mattresses and V Berths that run far shallower than the 12 to 18 inches most pads assume.

Here is the difference. A regular mattress pad comes with a deep elastic skirt. On a 5 or 6 inch berth mattress that skirt has nowhere to go, so it hangs loose, folds under you and bunches into a ridge you feel all night. Ours has no skirting at all. It is a flat quilted pad that lies on top of the mattress, edge to edge, and your CinchFit sheet cinches down over it to lock the whole stack in place.

That means no fighting a too-deep pocket over a thin mattress, no bulk pushed under the corners, and no pad creeping out from under the sheet by morning. It also makes the pad easy to lift off and wash without stripping the entire berth.

This is not something you can pull off a shelf. Each pad is finished and hand sewn in our own American workroom, the same hands that make our CinchFit sheets, which is exactly why it can be cut to shallow pocket and V Berth shapes that the big bedding mills simply do not offer. American made is not a badge we bought. It is the reason the fit works.

Shallow pocket does not mean thin. The pad is generously filled and diamond quilted, so a firm berth or bunk mattress gets real cushioning without adding the height that would throw off your sheet fit. For an odd shaped or angled berth, the extra padding can be fitted around the sides or tucked neatly under the mattress.
